Co-op stocks shelves with new GLP-1 friendly ready meals today

Three Co-op Good Fuel Power Up Your Plate meals on a blue background

Following in M&S’ footsteps, Co-op has launched four highly nutritious meals designed for those taking weight-loss medication. Launching two days after the M&S Nutrient Dense range, Co-op’s ‘Good Fuel’ range consists of four mini meals, each packed with protein, fibre, and at least one of your 5-a-day.

Available in store from today, the 7th of January, the ‘Good Fuel’ range will consist of three chicken-based meals and one vegetarian option. Pick from:

  • Chicken & Sweet Potato Penang Curry
  • Chicken Teriyaki Noodles
  • Chicken & Courgette Alfredo Pasta
  • Butternut Squash, Beans & Grains

Each meal costs £3.50, but until the 22nd of January, members will be able to get two for £5.50. Non-members will be able to save 50p by getting two for £6.50. In this case, being a loyalty card holder pays.

Co-op’s retail trading director, Nicole Tallant said: “Our members and customers are changing the way they approach health, looking for healthy and tasty choices that provide a boost of health benefits like protein and fibre, with meals that count towards their five-a-day as growing need to cater for smaller appetites with meals that provide the quality without so much of the quantity.”

This whole new range is aimed at supporting shoppers’ wellbeing in a meaningful, accessible and convenient way.”

Alongside the Good Fuel selection, Co-op is also offering five full-size healthy meals, creatively called ‘Power Up Your Plate’. Individually, they cost £4.25, as a pair (for members), expect to pay a reduced £6.25.

Like the Good Fuel meals, Power Up Your Plate options are also heavy on the chicken with one vegetarian option. Choose from:

  • Meatball Pasta
  • Naked Katsu Chicken
  • Chicken Tikka and Rice
  • Peri Peri Chicken
  • Naked Bean Burrito

Available in store 7th January.
