At Simple & Homely, we’re all about living on a budget. Saving money over winter is at the forefront of most people’s minds at the moment, and as a result, Black Friday comes with some tempting deals.
One unavoidable change as winter sets in is the reliance of having to dry your laundry indoors, whether that be in the tumble dryer or by using an airer. To prevent your clothes taking too long to dry, cluttering up your home or resulting in musty smelling clothing, a heated airier is a worthwhile investment. It’s cheaper to run than a tumble dryer, even if you use it alongside a dehumidifier. And, if you find one of the best Black Friday deals on a heated airer, you’ll save even more money in the long run.
As briefly mentioned, you can pair your heated airer with a dehumidifier. But, why?
Well, heated airers can make your house damp, so you will need to make sure the room is ventilated while it’s in use to prevent this. Pairing your airer with a dehumidifier will not only reduce the chance of mould, but will also speed up drying times.
If you keep an eye out, heated airers are sometimes available in the middle aisles of Lidl and Aldi. Chances are, though, heated airers there are going to be hot property, so you’ll have better luck finding a heated airer in the Cyber Monday sales. Below, I’ll run through some well-reviewed and highly recommended heated airers, its sale price, where you can buy it from, and some brief details about each one.

Minky Wing 12m Heated Clothes Airer with Cover – Was £60, Now £45
The Minky SureDri heated airer is on sale in a couple of places: Argos has knocked it down to £45, representing a 25% saving; and Amazon has gone a couple of quid better, discounting it 29% to £42.75.
The Minky DriSure has 12m of drying space, limited to a drying capacity of 16kg, costs roughly 8p per hour to use, it’s lightweight when empty, and can be folded up flat for storage.
George 3 Tier Heated Clothes Airer – Was £95, Now £65
Heading to Asda to buy the George 3-Tier airer means you’ll be able to use it for the load of laundry currently going round in your washing machine. No waiting for the delivery driver to take a photo of it on a random doorstep in an unknown location and going on a hunt round local Facebook groups trying to find it.
It’s made of aluminium so it’ll be nice and light when you pack it away to store. You also get 100 days warranty if something goes wrong.
Dry:Soon Deluxe 3-Tier Heated Airer and Accessories Offer Bundle – Was £273.95, Now £219.15
Lakeland’s own brand airers are incredibly well-favoured by expert review sites, so you know you’re getting quality with the Dry:Soon Deluxe airer. It’s the most expensive option on this list, even with a £54.80 discount.
In this listing, Lakeland bundles the airer with two 6-peg hangers, a pack of mesh shelf duo, and a cover. It’s still expensive, but at least you’re getting good value for money.
Dunelm 2 Tier Heated Airer – Was £75, Now £45
Another own-brand option, this time from Dunelm. For Black Friday, Dunelm has taken £30 off the price of its 2-Tier airer, meaning you can grab it for the lower price of £45.
The Dunelm airer dries your clothes using 220W of power, costing around 6p per hour to run. When it comes to useability, you can get 13 metres of drying space, limited to 10kg of wet washing.
Black & Decker 3 Tier Heated Airer – Was £99.99, Now £89.99
The saving on the Black & Decker airer isn’t as clear cut as the others on this list. You’ve been able to buy it at Robert Dyas for £99.99 for a while, meaning its sale price of £89.99 is a £10 saving, even if Amazon’s RRP of £164.99 leads you to believe you’re getting a bigger discount.
For this heated airer, you’re getting a whopping 21 metres of drying space with a maximum weight limit of 15kg. It does draw a bit more power than the others on this list, requiring 300W to run. That doesn’t mean it’s costly to run, however.
